Subscribing to a thread

It seems that even if you are subscribed to a thread the
menu "Thread Tools" still has a link "Subscribe to this
thread" as opposed to "Unsubscribe".

I wonder if there is a reason for this

If you do want to unsubscribe go to Quick Links/Subscribed Threads

            Maybe he followed my suggestion

            and encountered a bug which also removed all his posts

              I'll explain what made me raise this post - it might help
              avoid confusion for others.

              Whenever I make a post I want to be subscribed to the
              thread - so I have set the Default Thread Subscription Mode
              to 'Instant email notification'

              In order to check that it works I go to Thread Tools
              which seems to imply every time that I am not subscribed.

              So after every post I've been unnecessarily doing a manual
              subscribe.
