I'm new here. I've a question

Sorry if this is the wrong place

I've been seeing some thread where people are stating you can make $1000's/week/month etc. I also see the ad's on the site.

As i'm new i find this great and want to jump in. But there's always the thing in my head saying.. if it sounds to good to be true is probably is.

I've a full time job paying about $3200/month after taxes.

I'd want to get an extra $400/month are there many things out there that could work for me ?

Things i can do

Build Websites
I know HTML/CSS
I've 2 severs, 1 in the US and 1 in Europe hosting about 20 domains names. Some are mine some are friends. Webdesign is a hobby not my Full Time job.

I can install and build using any CMS, I use joomla and wordpress mainly.

I've also being doing graphic design for over 12 years.

The thing i don't have a lot of is time. I've a full time job and a wife and 2 kids. When i get home i don't want to be on the PC for hours submitted articles or writing reviews.

I know it will take time at the beginning. But after that I cant invest time.

I've watched about 5 video courses on SEO and i'm loving it. I'm building all my new sites with that in mind.

All in all I'm looking for something easy for a beginner that will make about $400/month. I know everyone would like to promote their own product to me but I'd like an outsiders point of view on what's best for me.

Thank you

regards
David.

Would you have time to design websites? Maybe you can offer Wordpress installation and configuration services. You can post a thread advertising your services on Warriors for Hire.

You can also be a middleman. Find people who need some services like writing, web design, graphic design, etc. and are willing to pay good money for those services. Then, you can hire professionals who are willing to do the work for much less on sites like oDesk. That shouldn't take so much of your time because you won't be doing the work. You will hire people and then deliver the goods to your customers on or before the deadline you agree upon.

Well, that's true. There does tend to be a lot of hype too though. As with anything to do with IM.
It depends on whether you would be prepared to do work online as in to a job and get paid for it. Or if you are more wanting to start a business and work for yourself.

There are a ton of ways to make $400 a month online.

Heck, there are people making that much and more just using Fiverr.

If you are prepared to do work, then vworker or Fiverr or any of the clone Fiverr sites would be useful.

If you are wanting to start your own business working for yourself then get a website up and start building a list in whatever niche you choose.

If time is an issue then spend a small amount each month and slowly it will build up for you.

If you dont have time my suggestion is build some niche sites. Most niche sites require little to no maintenance. You'll achieve 400$ a month with less than 10 niches sites.

When you say niche sites you mean info sites about a product ? or afflaite sites stuff like that ?

I just came across that fiverr website.

    Very interesting.

Installing wordpress is easy. Would someone really pay $5 to have it done ?.

@cyberdenizen - I can have a site built in a few hours. It's the content that takes a while. Building the HTML/CSS is easy for a small standard site. (micro site) Bigger sites would take me more time.

I've been reading the challenge pages. Some nice ideas there.

I'm considering buying something from the warrior special offer forums as a new person to this site what would be a good one to buy and try ?

    thank you for your time.

I must review that website more.

$400 isn't really all that much. One of the easiest routes, IMO, would indeed be to go with SEO for traffic-generation, and look at monetising with AdSense & Amazon (or both).

You don't need to be a great writer, and you don't need to build masses of sites. You could do this with 2-3 sites very easily, or even just one.

No brain surgery involved, here: keyword research, buy exact-match keyword domains where possible (saves a bit of time, still, especially if you're going the route of multiple sites), set them up and publish some good, relevant, keyword-optimised content. Then build links.

There are countless courses, ebooks and threads here that explain this strategy in more detail ... but really, the varying specifics of each individual approach are less important than just taking some action and getting something out there.

Check out this (slightly aging) WF thread. Also check out John's (XFactor's) Authority-site AdSense guide, if you're looking for a more up-to-date, all-encompassing, step-by-step outline for making great money with a smaller number of sites (the latter isn't free, though).

I'll be honest, though ... $400/month is so little, really, that I'd probably just go the micro-niche route if that is all I was really interested in earning, without any sort of longer-term intentions.

This is how I made my first consistent non-service-derived online income (and it's still going strong now), anyway, before turning my attention to building mailing lists and doing e-product affiliate marketing, etc.

    Good luck.

Yeah, those things are aimed especially to new guys that look for the push-button solutions

Just disregard them... you know better than that!

I've a full time job paying about $3200/month after taxes.
Don't give that up until you can make consistently at least that much from online activities

I'd want to get an extra $400/month are there many things out there that could work for me ?
Looking at the list of your skills - you should be able to earn that much easily.

Probably, the easiest way would be to offer services like installing and customizing CMS you are familiar with. Although, in that case you should look somewhere else as your market (not this forum, where everybody wants the cheapest price...) - e.g. you could offer web services for small offline businesses.

Another, more 'automated' way could be to use your site-building skills to create affiliate site, promoting good products that sell. If you can get traffic to those site, it could work.

    Thanks for those great replies.

I'll start researching what i think is best. A site that sells affiliate products might be the best for now.

I could set up 2-3 sites with amazon. I'll have to look more into it.

    Thanks.

It's so great to see that others also find the hype surrounding certain products 'too good to be true'. I have always been taught that unless some hard work is involved, the results are rarely ever noteworthy.

If you do not want to spend vast amounts of time on the internet, I would agree that affiliate marketing is a very good starting point.

What's really great about well established programs is that all the resources you require to promote the products effectively come standard with the programs which are usually free to sign up for.

This in a sense adds a huge degree of 'automation' to the marketing process for you as your success is the affiliate company's success and they therefore make sure that in order for you to succeed they provide you with an effective 'plug-in' template to get you started on the fast track.

I personally find that most love any products/offers which can save them money on things they already do such as hotel visits, eating out, etc.

Best of luck with choosing a niche that works for you. I am certain you will absolutely love the process.

Just be patient & persistant and the results are sure to be great.

I reckon if you bild a list in a niche and use paid methods to advertise you squeeze page you will do ok, what niche will be up to you.

I would 1) research a niche, 2) build site 3) build squeeze page 4) build an offer as an incentive to get on list e.g. free videos then use solo mailings or ppc to market that page.

Most of the above you could outsource.

Good luck and dont set your sites to low, you can make a ton on the net, just go to put the time into learning and then implementing what you learn

Just on a side note might help this post.

I'm in the middle of making this site

    doggroomingireland.info

I intend on having a full list of dog groomers in ireland.

Then i will also have the following

    1) A link to a click bank dog grooming pack - like a DIY dog groomers

    2) A link to a click bank dog training pack

    3) A amazon affilate store selling Pet supplies and Groomer supplies

Am i in the right from of mind ?

I understand that Ireland is a small market compared to the rest of the world. But i have to start somewhere.

Site is not ready yet tho.

    I'd say go with services.
You could take a few jobs a week and be set.
Or you could coach on doing what you do, teaching others to do what you do for themselves. You could even make a course on it so you only have to do the work once, versuses over and over with many different people.

Also get into the habit of creating systems...ready to go processes to make your tasks easier so you can do more of them (or less). Whats your passion man? What is it ya love to do and could do all day long with no complaints?

      Hi,

It really depends on your skill set and what you are interested in doing.

In short there are basically these several ways of making money online (at least from what I know and I only include those that really can help you make a constant flow money, E.g. I did not include taking surveys etc.). You can't really say one is better or easier than the other because what someone may find comfortable may not be comfortable to you. These are the ways that I know:

1.) You can create and sell products.
2.) You can do affiliate marketing.
3.) You can buy (or create) and flip websites.
      4.) You can offer services.
      5.) You can do consulting.
6.) You can buy and sell on ebay.
7.) If you already have a website, you can sell advertising space.

Each will require effort to begin. There are some which would require quite little maintenance after that. For example, you can create a product which is in demand in a niche, then sell it on click back and promote it on your website. If you have done your research properly, soon affiliates would help to promote your products as well. Then it will more or less run on auto-pilot. If you put in effort, I would say you can get yourself going by 2-3 months. I don't believe there are short-cuts to internet marketing, unless you pay someone to do everything for you.

You really must find out what you are interested in doing.

    • Find high traffic and monetizable phrases.
    • Buy profitable domain names of those phrases.
    • Build out domain sites quickly using Wordpress Multisite.
    • Then use one of those great back-linking services to build quality backlinks to your sites.
    • Oh yeah, just make sure your sites have content.
I think that about covers it. You could also do how-to-video's to generate some cash.

If you're interested in Amazon, check out the AMZ Academy. The link is in my sig (not an affiliate link). It's a great new community, currently free, with a step by step guide to creating Wordpress blogs, aiming at making money with Amazon. Clearly you could skip a lot of the setup process etc, but why not give it a go?

If you have money to invest, I would recommend investing in products and other websites professionally created. I know that one of the factors in online marketing is time, and that's something that we don't have the luxury of. You can put your projects in lightspeed by having someone else create it. Technicalwebsite.com is a great place to get things done in terms of money making websites, and exposureking.com is another great place to gain more exposure for your products.
