Copying Privacy Policy & Duplicate Content

I found a privacy policy online, and through typing some of the body text in Google, it seems thousands of sites are using this exact same one.

I've heard of the duplicate content penalty and I was wandering if this still applies with Privacy Policys?

Worry less about a duplicate content penalty and more about a copyright infringement charge unless you are licensing a privacy policy or using one that is freely distributed.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Probably, you were listening to unreliable sources or misunderstood your sources. Don't go by what you heard - go by facts.

Duplicate content = the same content more than once on your OWN site.

Privacy policy can be the same on every website ... don't worry about it!
