Delivering clickbank digital products via iOS

Hello there,

I am a bit of a newbie with WarriorForum, I've bought a few programs from here, all of them have been very interesting and I am hopeful to at least start one or two small clickbank product websites or something similar in the near future.

Anyway, the subject of this thread is to find out if anyone here has sold products from clickbank (although you could easily extend this to any other program) via iOS (iPhone) apps?

I'm thinking with iOS it kinda changes things because although you still need a sales or squeeze page, the likihood is that the app purchase or conversion rate might be a bit higher (I have no numbers to base this off).

The only issue is I am still unsure if there is a credibile way of delivering the content through mobile.

I asked Clickbank via email if they have an API that would allow digital downloads through the in-app store purchases, or if they have an API that would allow any digital content to be distributed into the mobile space.

There is also the problem of revenue, as Apple takes about 30% of any app purchases, you are losing some revenue.

But the idea of delivering clickbank (or other) digital products via the iOS platform intrigues me to wonder if anyone here is doing such a thing, or whether its a waste of time or not.

Thanks.

Not clear what kind of products are you talking about... since you mentioned several "apps" and other products as well.

Now, for iPhones one can buy apps ONLY through the Apple apps store, not from clickbank. You can install apps only from Apple.

What other 'digital products' you were thinking about?

I don't know. I was speaking mostly from a general point of view as a delivery mechanism for digital content.

Say for example, a program for building abs would be video, content, etc; this would be delivered via the app purchase to the user's phone.

Maybe I'm just overcomplicated it and I'll just stick to learning/applying the ideas already mentioned on this website.

    Thanks.
