Google+ vs. Facebook and why i cheer for Facebook

I think Facebook its a big waste of time (from a normal user pov not a salesman pov)

However i wish with all my heart that Google+ will fail.

I don't want more power for Google, as with all monopolies they tend to become dictatorial (and we all know what ahole Google is with people who want to make money for themselves and not making Google more money).

Anyway, atm, probably Google+ population is 75% people who want to sell something .

The real answer is we need more competition, we need more than just Facebook and Google.

I play on both of their fields at the moment.

I like the movement yahoo-bing are making in the search game.

More competition is best for everyone.

I haven't even seen it. The world will make its decision very soon. If Google+ can integrate into people's lives more easily than Facebook does its easy to see who will win this "social war."

Google has the advantage with mobile because it created the second most popular (maybe the most popular now?) mobile OS. That means better integration for a Google+ app.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

I'm rooting for Google in this one, for one, because they're making it very clear that they respect a user's privacy and data when it comes to G+. Privacy is something that Zuckerberg and Facebook have dropped the ball on many times already, and no doubt will again in the future.

As far as the demo of the current G+ beta users, I'd say it's 75% early adopters, tech geeks and social media nerds. I've been using it pretty heavily since I got in last Wednesday, and I haven't seen anyone try to sell anything yet. I'm sure that will change on the 31st when it goes public though.

Edit: Plus, Google staffers, including Senior VPs, are all over G+ interacting with people and even hosting and joining video hangouts that anyone can join. When was the last time you saw Zuckerberg or any of the FB staff join you on FB chat or interact with you in any way? Google is implementing new features and cleaning up the existing features at lightning speed based on the feedback they are getting.

I'm voting for Google on this one. Google has helped me make a lot of money over the years, I've never seen a problem with their dominance of the search engine market - it has helped me immensely.

If it's better than Facebook, it's better, and it will win, and they will deserve the dominance they get.

With Facebook being so huge, there is no real chance of Google getting a "monopoly" on social networking anyway.
