Adding pretty link in author field of articles

Hi,
Can you add your wordpress plugin "pretty link" (cloaked affiliate link) in the author field of your articles without getting banned by the various article websites? When using pretty link it would look something like this: mydomaindotcom/prettylink.

Or should I point the reader back to my review website instead? I see pro's and cons for both. Just want to see if there are any obvious no no's for doing this.

Thanks in advance.

Well, as far as getting banned from the article directories, it really depends on each specific directory.

For example, EZA does not allow forwarding domains/urls unless it is a top level redirect. (ok to forward entire domain example.com, but not like you want example.com/anything) Some directories do not care.

For SEO purposes, if you are trying to build link juice to your site, the pretty links will not help much, though there is a permanent redirect setting that may make it better, but I prefer direct links for juicing.
