Private Messaging Question

Hi All,

I am very new to the site and wanted to promote some WSO offers of products I purchased that I really like. The first product I want to promote requires the merchant to approve me. He sent me a Private Message via this site, and I replied, but when I clicked submit it said I cannot use the Private Messaging system until I have 50 posts or something like that.

How do I reply to the merchant now?

Thanks,

Doug

Join the War Room and you'll be able to PM.

My only option is to pay $37 to reply to a Private Message? I understand why the site might require someone to make several posts and show they are not a spammer or something before they can send other users private messages... I am all for that. But someone sent me a Private Message asking me questions so they could approve me in promoting their product. I would think I should be able to reply. I am sure I will probably join the War Room eventually, but I really don't want to spend the money to send a message. Oh well... I guess I will just have to create some posts for a while.

I agree it seems unreasonable to have to pay $37 just to reply to a PM. But as you've pointed out.. the rules are in place to stop spammers.

Maybe raise a helpdesk ticket to get an exception?

          Thanks Ben,

Fortunately, I was just approved by the vendor without sending the Private Message, but if I need to reply to someone else... I will take your advice and contact the helpdesk.

          Thanks again,

          Doug

I am sure I will hit the 50 pretty fast too. I have been into Internet Marketing since 1998 and have been to this site MANY times but never really hung-out much (not sure why). I have been looking around and there is a lot of great posts and I have bought several WSO's in the last couple of weeks and they have all been top notch... so I think I will definitely be hanging out more and getting involved.

                Hi Doug,

Just wanted to say welcome to the WF, glad you decided to stay. You'll find it is a university
of knowledge and of course the Warroom that is another story in itself. When you can sign up,
you won't regret the decision or investment. If you ever need help just ask as there is always
                someone with an answer.

                All the best,
                Guy

You don't have to pay the $37 to PM... you simply have to have at least 50 posts which I think is fair enough. Otherwise we have people joining the forum, contributing nothing, and sending a whole load of spam to people via PM.

The rules are there to protect everyone. I am sure once you have hit the 50 post mark you don't want to be receiving annoying PM's from spammers or people trying to push their gear.

You'll find if the products you are trying to promote are through the Warrior Plus system that every vendor will need to approve you before you can promote their product - well the good ones anyway.

Yea this is true. Plus you will get lifetime access to some amazing products for free. Definitely one of the smartest things I did online.

To be honest with you, you have access to tremendously generous internet marketers and their tips and freebies when you are a War Room Member.

It's totally worth the $37, and being that you are new, it will blow your mind what you can access on the forum and can be a huge boost to your IM education.

I just thought to offer another perspective in case it helps : )

Thanks for your perspective Peter! I am absolutely sure it is EXTREMELY WORTH the $37... but I just spent around $500 on a couple of scripts last Friday and my wife will kill me if I spend anymore money for a couple of weeks. I do look forward to see what is in there though.

      Thanks again,

      Doug
