Monetizing New Blogs

For blogs, it is always said that the better traffic, the better the income flow for it. Now while its totally true, I believe new blogs that aren't yet superpacked with traffic can still make some pennies while trying to boost their online exposure. Here's what I have done when my blog is new, yet I was still able to squeeze some moolah from it

1. Sell ad space for $1. go and head on to digitalpoint or other webmaster forums and sell your ad space for a dollar. Most marketers have the tendency to play safe and choose a cheaper one for cheaper risk and I think I got about 5 people eventually buying.

2. Money for some banners - Sites like matched.co.uk or money4banners.com or freebies4webmaster pay for you to place their banner on your blog. The trend here is that their advertisers are loan and finance companies so I guess they are taking a big cut from what you are getting. Well i signed for those and was accepted. They are paying me 5 pounds per month which is not bad and I had their banners placed at the bottomest! Now most of these programs diminish in short period of time but there has never been a scarcity of it, I mean there are always programs like this that always comes up from time to time.

3. Get a great theme - What I noticed these days is that the better your site looks the better the traction it gets and so I've seen lot of sites not really producign superb contents but have great themes and they're getting viewed a lot! not really you need a custom one designed but well go to smashing magazine and tweak their free premium themes...

So, that is what has worked for me! Maybe things have changed so quickly but well Im sure I provided value here by posting these tips. Anyway, my blog is in the siggy if you feel I made some value by posting this then why not head to my blog and maybe get the feed...
