How to create simple short videos with just pics and text, fast?

I'm looking for a video software (or site) that you can just throw in some pictures and text and it can create nice short video (using a template or something) with pleasant copyright free music in the background.
That's all. I need it in a way that can be done fast, like few mins per video or so.
Any recommendations?

    Just use Movie Maker. If you upload it to YouTube, they provide the music for free.

    Animoto does this. As for uploading these videos to Youtube just know they are trying to get rid of videos like this so be careful. You could very well end up with a suspended account further down the track.

      It depends on the content of your video and how you're using it. There's nothing wrong with words and pictures in themselves.

      Like he said, people are uploading videos like this by the thousands- you could spend a little more time and do simple powerpoint videos that have useful content and get much better results.

        You could just create a power point presentation and record it with screen capture software, such as CamStudio (free).

        Jamendo.com is a good place for getting music to use, although you usually have to give the artist credit somewhere.

        But yeah, adding value with you talking over the video presentation with your own opinions is a good idea as well!

          Here what I do:

          Powerpoint pages with black background...do ~5-6 with actual content. Save as JPEG images (will save all automatically)...go to Windows Movie Maker and upload files and choice of free music...create movie choosingb upload best option. Upload to youtube...takes maybe 10-20 mins per. Not Spielberg but...

            I use Microsoft PhotoStory. Its free, easy to use, works great. It lets you do slideshows with text or with voiceovers.

    animoto.com would fill your bill. They offer free video creation for up to 30 second videos. They are done very well. You can spin the same content into several different videos.

    It has a pretty short learning curve. I was able to do my first one in about 10 to 15 minutes. Once you get it, you can do them very fast. The quality is good too. Hoep this helps

    Windows movie maker is all you need bro... it's pretty easy to slap together a reasonable looking video by using the programs 'Title' feature and combining it with imported images.

    And as for copyright free music, here's a couple of good sites are Danosongs.com and FreePlayMusic.com.

    Also if you need copyright free images SXU.hu is pretty good.

    Thanks, animoto seems great.
    About youtube removing them, they are particularly after animoto style videos, images slideshows made to videos in general, or just videos with not much of a useful content?

    I would like more info about that, especially from people that had animoto videos taken down or their account suspended
