I don't know how it's like in your niches, but in my niche (dating, shyness, confidence) I discovered a paradox that makes it hard for me as an affiliate:

1. Most information products that I believe to actually be good, create results and have solid research behind, you can find them on Amazon for like $15. Promoting them, I'd make less than 1$ commission for each sold copy.

2. Most information products that I could promote and make $20 to $50 commission for each sale, are from my perspective pure crap. They sound good, they're packaged nicely, but they offer generic/ineffective/mistaken advice and don't do much in practice.

Another reason to create my own products. Cause otherwise I'm kind of stuck.

You should definitely be producing your own products.
You seem to have strong views and ideas. Translate those into what would be your ideal product.

You could even explain in your sales letter the process you described about other products being useless and the need for good solid information.

Once you have a great product you will find other people will want to promote it for you.
