Can you really 'copy' someones success?

Hey Warriors,

Please excuse my pessimism, but I am finding it hard to believe that success can be easily 'copied' by someone else.

I have had a lot of succesful ventures, but I have never been able to replicate the results using the exact same tactics.

The only way to make things work the second time around (or more) is to vary the core tactics so drastically that the end product becomes 'unique'.

Could I really buy a WSO that outlines a Warriors success and then try and copy it word for word and expect the same results?

I'd really like to know what you think.

There are definitely some methods that can be used again and again. As long as the essential factors remain the same ...

Yes, this is why experts are so valuable. They have perspective, they can tell you what works and what doesn't work, so it shortcuts the learning process for you. You learn from their mistakes, and copy the things that they've found to work. Now of course their system is usually not directly applicable, but you adapt them to your own situation.

Can you really 'copy' someone’s success?
You can take other peoples models and strategies and implement them into your own business, by tweaking them to fit your business.

Even if you did do it word for word, you would not get the results and everything 100% the same as them, there would be some differences due to a number of factors.

Alternatively you might copy their model/strategy 100% and might even do better than them in your results and income, with your own twist on the 'word for word' method.

Its not so much copying the material but the process. Even that has room for improvements.

You copy the process to produce your own unique material.

You're never going to copy anyone's success move for move. But you sure can take the basic plan and apply it putting your own spin and personality into it.

I strongly think that nobody who creates a plan to 'copy their success' has considered and included every possible variable. I feel it's a phrase used to convince someone to buy.

I would be sure to continually try your hardest to inject your own uniqueness and creativity. I believe there are some fundamental core tactics and strategies that can be used, however, sometimes I think testing and experimentation are just such a HIGHLY personal/individualized thing...that are inherently different across different people and different projects.

Some of the things I do online have resulted from a synthesis of studying many successful people online. The thing is...I really strive my hardest to identify what they are doing WRONG, and I make the system better.

Thank you for your input Warriors.

I admire the fact that so many of you agree that successful methods should be 'adapted' to suit your individual circumstances, instead of just being 'copied'.

Maybe it was my in-ability to look past this that has stopped me from purchasing any WSO's.

I might buy a couple and start 'adapting' right now

Be careful not to fall into the WSO frenzy....

There is AMAZING stuff sold in that section, but its easy to get into buying WSO after WSO after WSO.

A good alternative could be to join the War Room. Less than $40 gets you the equivalent to dozens of WSOs

If by copy you mean do the exact same thing and and achieve the exact same results I would say no. If you understand it to mean take the concept and apply it then absolutely it works. Very little in the world today is a result of something totally new. I believe the saying is standing on the shoulders of giants. It's why case studies are used in business schools, why peer reviews take place in medicine, we learn from others successes and yes failures. As it happens this forum focuses more on successes and I say take the lessons and build.Anyone can say it can't be done, the genius is in taking that one nugget and building with it.

I think the best approach is to study people who are successful and determine "best practices" for whatever niche you're in, copy most of them, and occassionally cut against the grain to test a hunch or insight.

Trying to reinvent the wheel will usually just lead to dead ends. Go with proven methods, but don't be a zombie about it. There's still room to gain advantage from your own individual strengths.

Yes you can, but I would say 95% of these WSO's are generic so i wouldn't count on it.

The core tactic of all marketing is to deliver something to people who want it.

    That never changes.

What you're varying is the details. What are you delivering, how are you delivering it, who are the people, why do they want it, etc.

Every niche is a money tree. At the centre is a trunk, and the trunk leads up to the boughs, and the boughs lead out to the branches, and the branches lead out to the twigs, and the twigs lead out to the leaves, and all the leaves are cash.

And all those products are basically "how to climb a tree."

Yeah, every tree is unique. But they're all constructed the same way, too. And if you watch this guy climb that tree, you'll learn a little bit more about climbing any tree.

Because the core never really changes. All trees are very, very similar.

But yeah, if you're trying to climb a hawthorn after watching someone climb an apple tree, it's going to hurt.
