How to promote a Blog Giveaway?

Hey everyone,
I've been going around asking people for stuff to sponsor me to giveaway. Now that i've secured some products, how should i get people to come participate? Any tips would be really appreciated.

How are you giving these things away? Are you packaging them up and serving them from your own landing page? Or are you directing people to the owners' landing pages?

You can buy some solo ads or do some JV ad swaps to promote it.
