Auto-responder question

Autoresponding services are quite expensive I see..Are the paid ones really necessary or are there free alternatives that can almost match up?

And what do you think is the best auto responder service?

    Paid ones all the way!

The hassle of free ones is just too much.

Start with Aweber - the first month is only $1.

Either you can try out Aweber as mentioned above for a trial period 1 month for $1. Or you can try out the free version of Getresponse. You are limited to 100 subscribers and 500 mails/month. But if you haven't tried it out before, it can be a good start.

Can you transfer your lists from one provider to the other?

      It differs

Can I import my list without having to reconfirm in GetResponse?

We normally require all contacts to be confirmed when importing. However, if your list has already been confirmed and you have full opt-in information such as: IP addresses plus date and time stamps for when your contact opted-in, our Policy Enforcement Department may consider an unconfirmed opt-in in exceptional cases. Please contact us here: Feedback form - GetResponse and put "List transfer" in the subject line.
      And for Aweber, go here

Autoresponders might seem expensive when one has a list of 2. But when you get to a list of 2 thousand or more, the income that can be derived from it will make it seem like the bargain of the century.

Remember 50 cents per subscribers per month is not difficult by any stretch.
Have a list of 2000 and using the 50 cents per as the example, that's $1000 per month as opposed to the autoresponder charge of $30 odd a month depending upon the service.

No, I don't think they match up. In the end, you get what you pay for.

I feel Aweber is the best when factoring in cost and ease of use and deliverability.

I think that you'll change your mind about the expense once you see the fantastic results you can get from having an email list.

$19 a month (or $1 for the first month) on Aweber really is worth it for a solid service that'll allow you to collect emails that'll earn you money every time you send out a message
