How to Delay Subscription Payments

When:

a subscription-based site is in its pre-launch period,

and:

the associated merchant desires to offer a discounted subscription price to people who sign-up during the pre-launch period,

and:

the associated site will not be accessible to its subscribers until the site's launch date at some time in the future,

what payment service permits:

receiving subscription payment authorizations from subscribers that will not be "billed" to the subscribers until the site actually launches on a specific date in the future?

Paypal has been contacted about this matter and Paypal has stated that Paypal can accommodate subscription payments, but Paypal cannot delay the "billing" of the payments until some date in the future.

    Yes, they can, but it has to be done when the recurring payment is first set up, and it has to be done properly. And there's no room for fuzziness - you have to have a solid first payment date when the payment profile is set up; "some date in the future" won't work.

    What you're asking for is pretty easy - unless you're asking for a way to set up subscriptions without having a solid payment date. If THAT is what you want, I think you'll be unsuccessful in your search.

      A "solid first payment date" is indeed the situation. However, Paypal technical support has indicated that it is not possible with Paypal.
