Use OpenOffice Writer to convert your articles to PDF. It will create the links.

For me the link doesn't work, but the page doesn't load fully anyway (with either Firefox or Chrome).

Yes, for me too, now (must just have been a temporary glitch, before?). But the link certainly appears not to be working?

Zinepal.com (free version) converts your article into a nice looking PDF with clickable links.

If you download the doc, the links work. The probably disabled the links because of the crappy docs being added for backlinks.

When I do a google search in quotes for one or two lines of my own article, it shows up on DocStoc.com Yet the article exists solely on my own website, meaning it's my own unique creation and I haven't submitted it anywhere else.

Does this mean DocStoc is scraping my website? Weird, because when I click the link in google I can't find anything to do with my article. Yet it shows up a pattern match for the exact phrase in DocStoc.

Never converted anything to pdf, ever. What exactly is going on?

If your articles are on article directories, they can get syndicated on pdfs for doc sharing sites by others.

The article existed NOWHERE but on my website. It wasn't even an article at all, just a collection of paragraphs I'd written myself about a particular topic.

I'd planned on turning it into an article and posting it to ArticlesBase, but hadn't done so yet.
