How do I set up a membership site with wordpress

INTERNET MARKETING

I have been looking around online and have talked to a few people. Some people have said that there are plugins but I cant find anything.

I don't have the means to pay for anything right now so I'm just looking for a simple plug in if possible

all the person I'm building the site for needs is the whole website set up with one user name and one password for closed training ... its free to the people she's training but she doesn't want it open to the public

Any Help??

s2Member has a free version that you can download here. That may be what you're looking for.

I've not used it myself, but a quick search has found this one WordPress › Membership « WordPress Plugins
It looks like it might handle what your client needs.

Or you could pick any one of the other ones listed here

  This is by the guys at WPMUdev.org, they do good plugins, I would recommend you use it.

If you have access to to your wordpress dashboard, click on plugin section. This will open a page that shows installed plugins and in the option for search type membership.numerous results will be found. Read the short description and install the plugin of your choice.
