I see your signature link that says "7000 forums profile backlinks" and it makes me wonder????

First off, I run over a dozen forums and it has cost me a lot of time and programming over the years to combat forum spammers using Xrumer to setup fake accounts for profile backlinks.

You do realize that people like myself PAY for our dedicated servers, bandwidth, hosting, etc and setup forums for real people to converse????

People like you drain our bandwidth, abuse our systems using bots or automated systems and the funniest part is you're selling that service for $27. A service that abuses another person or company's systems ??

Now you want help to continue in your effort to create problems for legitimate entrepreneurs?

Without getting TOO specific, or technical, if you can provide a form field with a value, and REQUIRE that to have a certain value, you can prevent programs from posting things without affecting any PERSON'S experience. MOST posting programs deal only with worthwhile content, and post based on the type of program. USUALLY, they all post the same way. Change that, and they FAIL!

What you could do instead of looking at another people signatures is start backlinking your sites, look for the 7000 forums on your own and start backlinking to each one of your sites. I only asked for help with something, if you don't like my signature stop wasting your time replying to posts.

Thanks everyone for trying to help.

Very few people here (2 of us) see anything wrong with blasting forums and blogs with link spam.

I could see you possibly having trouble running it under Wine... But Virtualbox? You should have no problems with it running. What exactly was the problem?

I use Linux 99% of the time on all our machines. Actually only boot to Windows after work to play a game or two.

I had linux for awhile and loved it but then I got a mac and honestly i don't know what I would do without my mac. But if i didn't have a mac I would "dual boot" Windows 7 and Ubuntu. And just use them both.

Ubuntu 11 wrecked my os with instability. I went back to 10.

Virtualbox runs most everything, I would try that is wine didn't work or check wines default config and switch it to windowsxp

Being the nerd I am, I run Linux (Ubuntu), FreeBSD, and HP-UX. But this is mostly for server hosting.
