What do you think about my plan?

I have been aware of im for about 4 years but have become really interested over the last few months. As a result, I have made the decision to start a few projects and give im 6 months to see what I accomplish. The aim is to be making around $4000 a month.

As a newbie with little experience and a big aim, I have decided to keep things simple. This forum has a lot of great info and from what I understand the best course of action for me is to start a few niche sites and make money via adsense and affiliates.

Firstly, I need to take action and be consistent. This is pretty hard for me as I am very lazy so this is going to be a challenge. When selecting the niches, I have decided to go for competitive ones with a high number of searches. I know this is not recommended for a newbie but I need a big project to keep me motivated. I am going to focus on writing quality content as this seems very important especially with people complaining about the panda update. Another area I am going to focus on is seo and link building so I'm going to do forum postings, guest posts, blog comments, web 2.0, article submissions and social bookmarking.

This seems like a big project but if I take action everyday and break it down into bits I can reach my target of $4000 a month within 6 months. What do you think and do you have any tips.
