Attaching affiliate links

Does anyone know if you can attach your clickbank affiliate info to a link that leads somewhere other than the vendor's sales page?

Specifically, I'm talking about sending traffic to a presell page instead of the main sales page.

If so, can someone tell me how to do it?

Thanks.

Can you explain what you're asking in a little more detail, Daniel? I don't understand the question. How can you "attach a link to a link"?

The normal thing to do is to direct traffic to your pre-selling site/page, which also includes your opt-in to build your list, and then from that page (and from the emails you send out to the people on your list) you link to your hoplink (which you can mask/re-direct in any one of various different methods).

You should certainly do that ... there's not much point - with ClickBank products - in sending traffic directly to the sales page without (a) effective pre-selling and (b) building a list.

      Alexa,

Sorry if that wasn't clear. I'm talking about sending my list an email that contains a link to a product's pre-sell page. Not my product, but a product I am promoting as an affiliate.

Is there away to attach my affiliate link to send traffic to someone else's presell page so that I would eventually be credited with an affiliate sale if they buy from the main sales page?

I understand ... well, I don't know of a way to do this. With ClickBank's system, the "latest cookie gets the sale": the affiliate whose cookie went on to the customer's computer most recently earns the affiliate commission, because that overwrites earlier affiliate cookies. So if you send someone to someone else's pre-selling page, where they (presumably?) have their own affiliate link, then they're going to earn the affiliate commission on any sales made via that route.

you would have to make your own presell page then put your affilate link on that page.

When a vendor sets up a product, there is only one page he can use as the sales page. If you want a different one you have to make it yourself and link directly to the clickbank check out. If you look at the way the links are made, you should be able to get it figured out.

People certainly do this, but under ClickBank's rules, you need the vendor's permission to do it (for obvious reasons), and you won't be putting your own affiliate cookie on your prospective customers' PC's if you do it that way (unless you have some other way of your own to do that), so you'll be using ClickBank but not using their cookie system.
