What was your most embarassing IM flop?

What is something that has happened in your internet marketing career that you wish you could just wipe away forever? Was it a bad product launch, a poor buying decision, saying the wrong thing to a potential mentor/partner, or something else?

My personal embarassing moment is actually the same moment that got me into this business in the first place. Back in December '08 I kept getting an email telling me I could make money writing online. I got my first debit card so I could pay the $37 for this course (I don't remember the name, so I guess that means I'm getting better at blocking it out). When I finished the download and logged in to the members area super excited...just to find out I payed money to be referred to elance and given the same essay writing tips I've heard since the third grade.

I was so ashamed of myself, how could I have fallen for that? Instead of giving up though, I decided that there had to be something real though. As you can see though I didn't join WF until March of 2010 so it obviously took a while.

Imagine setting up a PPC campaign and accidentally putting the download page as the destination instead of the sales letter page.

To the soul that emailed me about it so many years ago, thanks again...

Oh gosh! That must have been terrible. Did anyone get the download before the problem was figured out?

I personally haven't touched PPC since my first campaign blew $20 without a single clickthrough.

I pumped $4k into an internet business I didn't like and didn't understand, and was soul burning to set up and manage. It would of been more fun to buy 4 grands worth of fire crackers and set them all off.

You can't think like that lol! If you are expecting the big flop, then not only is it guaranteed, it is guaranteed to come a lot faster. Think like your only option is success. Let those bad times be unpleasant surprises you have to deal with as they come.
