I bought a domain for an ebook. Less Global searches is better than a lot?

Hi guys. I have a question.

I recently bought a new domain that's part of a niche I'm active in. On my niche blog I have 41 blog posts that are bringing me in about 100 hits a day. The blog is growing.

Anyway I purchased a domain which I don't wish to share yet, but it goes like this www.howtobea____.com

So it's a trade. There is a wiki page on this, an ehow article, and nothing else other than a few articles. I want to write an ebook. I figured I would tie it into my existing blog later and just link that url to my other site.

I did a keyword search and there are 15,000 global searches for this phrase "howtobea___" I mean, that's not much, but from what I've learned isn't it better to have less searches with little competition than 150,000 searches with tons of competition?

There are no ebooks covering this subject or this exact phrase.

Thanks for any advice.

What's the question? You've told us what you've done - but you didn't ask a question. If your niche has 15k searches then that's what it has.

Not sure what your question was, but here is a little advice.

Your key word is "Britain", and it gets 100,000 searches a month. has low competition, and britain.com is available.

Buy the domain name britain.com, SEO blog posts for the keyword "Britain" and any other keywords like "Britain war" or "Britain books" and things like that. Gathering traffic from multiple keywords surrounding the main keyword.

    Then build links.

If you do the math, gathering small keywords that get 500 searches a month with literally no competition can add up the traffic to your website from that 100,000 visitors a month ( Saying as if all 100,000 searchers went to your website ) to say 150,000+ because you added more keywords to your website.

Moral of the story, Make posts with correct SEO with your main keyword, then add backlinks, and then add more keywords surrounding the main.

    I hope this helps.

Making another statement, it is better to have 10 sites that make the top of google with search volumes of only say 10,000 searches a month, rather than trying to make 1 website for a 150,000 searched keyword, that you may never reach the top of google with.

I'm guessing that you are asking about whether or not you should go through with writing this ebook. You can, but I personally wouldn't. From what you said there is literally NO competition. So this very well could mean that nobody buys for that niche. You should do some research and see if there are any physical books or things like that and are being sold. That is the best advice I can give without knowing the niche.

The more searches with less competition is a good sign and will be easy to rank for. So you are all cleared for take off.
