Its always worth trying to increase traffic or income before attempting a flip. The value of the site just increases, making it a win-win in my opinion.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Your site's value increases as more traffic has.
If your site has profit, you can calculate the approximate price if you multiply monthly income with 8 -12 months
without traffic or profits, a new blog sells for several dollars, depending on the keyword but I do not think you will sell more than $ 100

Sounds high for a blog that makes only $50/mnth with fairly low traffic. As for listing, don't buy the featured listing until the last day or two of the auction. You'll waste your money. No one hardly even bids until the last day of the auction to avoid a bidding war.

No-one is going to pay for the "emotional value" of your blog... that is a completely worthless variable in the eyes of a potential buyer.

How much work does it take each day? I'm assuming it makes $50 a month gross, and you haven't priced in your time. In reality, the blog probably makes a loss (if you price in your time spent each day).

Trying to value sites at this level is generally pointless as multiples vary wildly at auctions (such as Flippa) - people will throw out multiples that they've read about somewhere, but in reality it's guess work for sites with little/no goodwill value such as yours.

I'd guess you'd get somewhere around the $1k mark based on the traffic. A savvy buyer won't value the PR as you've either been selling links or doing link swaps based on the "site supporters" section. The niche is almost impossible to monetize so your buyer will likely be someone with existing sites in the niche who will see synergies with their portfolio.

Exactly. Depending on your traffic, the value of your blog increases.

But its not only the traffic. There are many factors.

For example: Pagerank, incoming Links in general, amount of articles, age, etc

It's simple. Expect 10x your monthly earnings. Set your BIN price between 0% to 25% more than that depending on how bad you want to sell and then offer something special if they BIN like some free SEO, or you will help them move the site to their host.

Add your 10x monthy earnings + your percentage over and there ya go.

My understanding is that when flipping a site its usually worth between 12 - 24 months revenue
