can we please sort out spam?

Hi,

I went to my email address and saw I had 70 email spam messages. Now I am fed up and quite upset with some of these messages coming to me. I want to fight back and get my revenge on them by finding a way to charge THEM to send the spam messages to my email address, I am sure that will stop them.!!

It will no doubt make me some cash in the meantime. I am sure some of you guys must be getting 1000's of spam each day. Can we get to together an idea to try to create a software that charges them to send their crap emails to us? Any ideas?

no......a software genie i'm not......

but i do have a gmail mailbox, and in two years,only 1 spam message got through to the inbox........

That's called e-postage. Won't work. I know that sounds like an abrupt dismissal, but it's been looked at by people with more experience than you might believe exists, and it just won't work.

The biggest problem is that the cost of administering the system would be more than the costs assigned to the mail itself. Charging enough to make it feasible would make email UNfeasible. And you'd have to charge everyone who sends mail, of any kind.

As badly broken as some email systems are right now, including big places like Hotmail and Yahoo, that'd start a virtual worldwide riot.

Good luck selling that idea.

i'll second gmail for spam, they do an excellent job for filtering

especially if you are using the email for internet marketing stuff i really like gmail.com , I would get gmail but wouldn't fly without spam filtering or it will keep getting worse

Just go get a Gmail Account...it's the most spam free email account I've ever had. Not perfect, but damn close!
