Best IM Ideas For Brick & Mortar Businesses

I have been doing a lot of reading on IM lately. I'm in the process of starting my own Amazon affiliate site. My question is though, what kind of internet marketing do you think is best for a small brick and mortar business? I own a store now and curious what you all think is the best way to market online and what the most important features are to have. Like do you feel Facebook is a must have for a business or is it better purchasing ads on a local website with lots of traffic. Just curious on everyone's opinion.

Thanks

    Hi JustinG30,

IMHO, a professional Facebook Fan with with a strategic marketing action plan is a must. Also, I would recommend a Google Places page that is comprehensive and complete to achieve a good ranking. And, a good Wordpress website with locally optimized keywords and an ongoing SEO program to help you garner your share of searches.

Good luck and hope this helps.

    Hey Justin-

    That's a good name, btw.

What does your brick and mortar business sell? Is it something that's sold across the U.S.?

If so, I would think you can do just about anything- PPC, press releases, get your products featured on Amazon, etc.
