There's plenty of information in here about "driving traffic." Search that term in here or on any of the search engines. Also I think you are referring to Adwords instead of Adsense. Google that as well. I think it will all depend on how much work and/or money you want to put into the site. YOu can do all the work yourself but it will cost you in time. You will learn a lot but it will be free.

it's simple: spread your content on the net. YOutube video (if you don't think that you can't rank it in google, youtube visitors itself will literally find your video inside youtube playlist). BOokmark it. Go to stumble upon, etc. You can try facebook marketing, etc. DOn't get overwhelmed, just pick one and try it first.

There have been a lot of good WSO's on driving traffic so do a search in the WSO section, read the reviews and you'll find some low cost education materials.

Maria Gudelis just posted a WSO this past weekend, Guaranteed Traffic?, and it's just under $19. There will be a live webinar with her traffic guru, a 12-day traffic challenge, traffic cheat-sheets and a members area with lifetime membership. I'm mentioning this because its current to your question and Maria is known for over-delivering.

1) article marketing

2) youtube

3) squidoo

4) giving away free ebooks

5) be active in forum

6) ebay

Don't just focus on Google Adsense.... there's joining forum.... blogging.... social media. You can also do it by creating great articles to generate huge traffic.

There aren't any traffic secrets that you can figure out that will just flood your site with traffic.

Employ the basics like people have mentioned already, and then spend more time on the methods that are starting to work for you.

I think he was saying that his only money was going to be coming from Adsense on the pages, so you can't pay to get traffic, unless it's buying links to get you on the first page of a popular search. I'd say just make your own back links, and post regularly with titles that have small competition, but still get traffic.

Chai, once you done with basic traffic, go ahead and check the options of video advertising is damm hot right now. There are networks that would really pay well if you place their ads on your site. That way you would be able to fund some of you traffic/SEO efforts.
Its really a chicken and a egg but you have to start somewhere......

You can experiment with paid traffic as well... it is used primarily to boost rankings temporarily for alexa or search engines, etc.

PS has anyone tried Maria Gudelis's traffic WSO? I saw it is going to close pretty soon (like tomorrow).

I found more success using Amazon and CJ's affiliates for entertainment. There's also few good entertainment Clickbank products that are selling good you may want to consider researching on CB engine.

Try to apply for google adsense first. They often decline many requests. Amazon can also be one option.

To bring more traffic i would recommend researching and choosing keywords that are related to your topic and optimizing your site and content for those keywords, and building backlinks to your site so that you are ranking within the first page of google for those keywords. This will bring in free organic traffic.

I would recommend adstract network....

I have just finished my 4th week with them and they are awesome. Good mix of videos (they are a video based network) good CPM rates- most of the time, very easy integration and even now when all other networks are lacking campaigns they way ahead in terms of CPM and I am on top of it so my estimate (i think) is accurate.

Above all they seem very trustful to work with and paid me on time

Well...that is expensive and not much useful as free traffic source.

#1 post in forums and use signature
#2 post blog replies with your website url
#3 post comments at your tube with your website url
#4 create facebook and twitter...

Along with Google adsense you can run Vibrant or Kontera on your site. It does not conflict with the rules of Google Adsense. That could be an idea, but Vibrant and Kontera do not pay much for keyword clicks at all.
