I discovered something by accident and need advice

Can anyone recommend an excellent onsite SEO expert for less than $100 per page? I only need one page SEO'd.

What happened was I discovered something by accident that "seems" to place an EMD homepage on the first page of Google much of the time for the searched phrase.

I tried it on many EMD's and I need to test my theory.

If you just need one page SEOed I would not recommend hiring someone. Its is very easy to do one page. I have a free course at SEOSurgeSolutions.com. I recommend you check it out before you hire someone.

What I discovered is so subtle that only an SEO expert would be able to detect it; someone with years and years of professional hands-on success at SEO. That is why self-learned SEO won't work for me in this particular scenario.

Thanks and I might when I start looking at OffSite SEO. But for now I simply want OnSite SEO for one lonely isolated page...my homepage.

Well...I am an SEO expert. And...now I'm totally intrigued, which doesn't happen often.

I'm not for hire but I will help you sort out your situation or really just do it for you if your only talking about a few pages.

            Wow! Thank you for that.

Ok I'd have to write a long email describing the scenario to you. Here's the catch: you are an SEO expert; I'm not. And what I want to discuss is very subtle but I can't articulate it using SEOspeak because I'm no expert.

If you want me to send details, please PM me.

So the problem you're having is that your home page is showing up instead of an inner page? I seen the exact same issue with a friend of mine who owns a forum, instead of his blog showing up for a keyword phrase, his forum showed up which was totally unrelated.

If it's the exact same issue here, you will have a very hard time getting it fixed and will almost definitely take a while. With that said, there's more than one way to fix these issues, you may be lucky and find your problem has a very simple solution.

I can try help. I'm not an SEO 'expert', but am willing to help for free and have experience with the problem, if it's as i stated above. Send me a more detailed PM over.

Thanks. The thing is, I want the opposite of what is often viewed as good SEO - I want only my homepage to rank, and not any of the inner pages (I have reasons for wanting that).

As I said, its really completely outside the box. I'm excited about it but I need to test things first. Most SEO guys I've approached already simply aren't seeing what I'm seeing.

And it is what they aren't seeing...that I want to exploit.

Are you saying that when you search for your keyword phrase your homepage shows instead of googles search results?

If you want only your homepage to rank and not the others can't you just exclude the other pages? I know there are plugins that do that. They won't show up at all

I'm saying that the some of my domains have showed up on page 1 of Google for the keyword phrase in my exact match domain...without me ever having done a thing to my site, including not even adding a single HTML page or a CMS like Wordpress. And this would go on for weeks (or months in some other peoples' cases).

It doesn't happen everytime but it happened enough times to stick out and make me wonder if Google's algorithms are sometimes asleep at the wheel.

are you sure these are highly searched terms they ranked for? It isnt hard to rank www.ieathamburgersandhotdogsforbreakfast.com (fake url... duh..) for the keyword "i eat hamburgers and hotdogs for breakfast" for example... Give us more information...

          Good point.

The domain contains a 2-term hi level keyword with a very common modifying prefix and a very common longtail suffix.

It's not like AuntArtaxerxesNoilyPratIn5GallonDrumsForLessThanTh eCostOfACupOfCoffee kind of thingy.

Sorry I can't be more detailed. That would spill the beans so to speak.

yiou dont really need to outsource this, just test yourself and write down what is giving you success. Lots of things will fail, but its just a process of elimination until you find out what works the best. That always tends to work when you have stumbled accross something by accident.

I imagine there are a thousand things to test. Any way to combine them in any testing scenario? Seems like testing so many things would take a great deal of time. However, I see your point and I agree that that is what I'd have to do in any event.

      Thanks.
