Hi,

Is it legal to use country name in one's domain?

For example - domainusa.com

Is this legal? Is there some form of trademark with country names?

Sounds funny but I need to know this.

Thanks a lot
Bye

yes,it is legal. Don't worry about this. you just can't register some .edu and .gov domains.

Only country domains specifically have sovereignty such as England.com or America.com, you can have TravelEngland.com or AmericanFootball.com if you could find it

A country cannot be trademarked, but they were made sovereign by the registries so a bunch of squatters couldn't simply hold them to ransom

However, I am not a lawyer and don't understand what is said in that link, but you should run into no problems...

Sure, that's perfectly legal. Country names are not copyrighted. So I see no problem here.
