How To Track Conversion Rate

Hey peeps.

I'm selling a product on Clickbank and would like to know the best method of tracking conversion rate for ANY visitor who lands on the sales page.

What's the best way to go about this?

Use Google Analytics or a similar program and compare the visitors with the nuimber of sales.

You can- you set a "goal" in analytics, where you basically just put some code on your 'thanks for ordering' page, and then you'll have an overall conversion rate stat to show people.

Even though it's been created for PPC, you can use the free Prosper202 to track your conversions.

Since the sale happens off your page, I don't think the GA goal would work for that. I'm not really sure how you could go about doing this. You'd have to create a spreadsheet, I think.

Edit: if you're a vendor, then the GA goal will work. My bad.

    hey jake

i would say initially use google analytics

look at your unique visitors after say 30 days then look at how many sales you have generated

this will work fine as long as long as your not building a list from your sales page
    as well

    hope this helps
