Paypal add to cart buttons?

Hi, I am building my second Wordpress site, with practically no experience, except for blogging, and I want to sell a product, or many different products with the option to add things to a cart.

To start with, I say I will give away a free thing, if they pay postage for it, and then after that, it's free postage for whatever products they buy.

I have a Premier account at Paypal, and I want to know if I should upgrade to a business account, or use a different form of payment facilities.

Can I use Paypal to accept credit cards directly through the site, or do they need to sign up to Paypal, and will this lose me customers?

How exactly should I set up my payment facilities, and what do I need to do so they pay one amount for postage, whether they only get the free thing, or hundreds of items?

Is Paypal a good option for add to cart buttons for multiple products?

A business account is always best is you plan to have quite a bit of transactions.

You can use Paypal to accept credit cards without the purchaser having a Paypal account, so you should not lose any customers to having to create a PP account.

I do think that Paypal is a good option for add to cart buttons for multiple sites. It is very easy to create buttons through your Paypal account, and it is the most trusted payment processor online. If you have any more questions, please let me know and I will be glad to help!

How much does it cost to upgrade to a business plan? Can you accept credit cards with a Premier account, or do they have to sign up? I saw how they said I needed to change the HTML code for different shipping prices for different amounts of orders, and it looked real complicated. Any ideas on a simple way to set it up, or do I just have to change the code on each add to cart button?

It does not cost anything to upgrade to a business account. Yes, to the best of my knowledge you can accept credit cards with a premier account.

I know most shopping cart software has an option to just add a payment processor at the backend, so that would probably be the easiest if that option is available. CubeCart, ZenCart etc. all have this option. Then there is nothing to do but add your Paypal email address in most cases and the software will calculate and determine the shipping, then forward them to Paypal where the send the payment so you only need to change one thing and not make a separate button for every product.

When you ask questions in the forum you need to pay closer attention to the answers you get. EconomicalDomains already answered your question about whether or not your customers need a PayPal account.

The most simple thing to do in your case would be to add the postage into the price you're charging.

Also, taking your time and reading through the documentation PayPal provides in their Integration Center; (do a Google search and you'll find it); will help you tremendously. You just have to take the time to read it.

I've heard of ZenCart, is that free? Easy to customize?
