Article Marketing At EzineArticles.com Question

If I want to create a free blog to link to from articles I post on EzineArticles.com, do you recommend I go with blogger or wordpress, being the newbie that I am?

Also, what should I link to from an EZA article? The same exact article that then has an affiliate link? That seems redundant to me. Any advice to a newbie would be appreciated. Thanks.

Blogger and wordpress both are fine...It would be even better if you get a squidoo lens as it ranks real well.

So Squidoo is the best of the 3? And do I just post the same article on EZA as Squidoo, except have the Squidoo article go to the affiliate link?

You're right about linking your EZA article to the exact same article on another platform being redundant. Whether you choose wordpress, blogger, squidoo etc. you should send your traffic to a page with a different article than the one they just finished reading.

It's okay to use your article on other places than just EZA but it's not a good idea to send them from an article to the same article. Better to send them to a product review or something of that nature.

Thanks. That helps a lot! If anyone else has any helpful advice, feel free to let me know. I think I'm going to use Bum Marketing on EZA to link to Squidoo pages.

That's a good way to go starting out. Once you make some money you can get your own domain name and hosting and then link your squidoo lens to your new website.

Once you set up your Squidoo lens you can put an RSS feed from your EZA account on your lens to link to all of your articles. It's also a good idea to then submit the RSS feed from your Squidoo lens to various RSS aggregators for backlinks.

      Good luck.

Actually, if I use Squidoo, can I just post my articles on there and forget about EZA? Or should I do both?

You should use both EZA and Squidoo. You could even use the same articles on both sites, just don't link identicle articles to each other.

    Scott,
Create your blog using wordpress on your own domain, no rules then as blogger has many TOS that you must follow.

Create your article on EZA, then link to a related article on the blog with the additional information, affiliate links, and etc ...

Using the right plugins with wordpress can help boost your rankings and thus traffic.

Be careful with blogger.2 of my blogs (not active anymore) were temporarily banned (about 4-5 days) by Google because of the instant traffic (1,000 plus visitors in 5 days) that I got from my promotions.Google suspected me of spamming to get traffic for my blogs.Actually I didn't.I just went to yahoo newsgroup and submitted my articles (with a link back to my blog at the bottom) to few groups. That's all.
I got tired of contacting the support team and explaining to them that I'm not a "spammer".EZA can bring you tons of instant traffic too.So just be careful with blogger. Why don't you use wordpress?I haven't tried it before but I heard it's good.

That's a lot of traffic. I might have to look into posting to Yahoo Newsgroups.

      Thanks for the tip.

Ive been wondering and wanting to ask - why submity to EZA when you can submit it on your BLOG?

Isnt a quality BLOG post just an article ...? or do articles{and the way you write them} have some other mystical quality/features I havent read about yet? [I have NOT researched article marketing methods hardly at all yet]

          Hi Steve,

You'll find that most people will recommend that you submit to your blog as well as to EZA. It is important to build up your own "real estate", but you can also leverage the ability of a strong article directory to give you traffic and back links. Hope that helps.

          Regards,
          Kevin

I would go with Squidoo before any other ones but they are all good. But eza ranks very well too so I would recommend still using that source too. You can get a lot of people reading your articles quickly and everything so..

Submitting to sites such as EZA helps send traffic and creates backlinks for your site. Good keyword research will also help in that directories such as EZA can show up high on google search rankings pretty quickly, offering another form of traffic.

I remember reading somewhere that a better way to submit articles is to first post them to your blog so that search engines see your blog as an authority site. But I might have this mixed up a little bit.

Yes this is true... If you submit it to your blog first, make sure it gets that ping and then submitting it to EZA only modified some is much better.
