Alternative Freelance Sites

Help! I can't get Fiverr to come back from the dead. It's impossibly slow and I've got some simple freelance book covers (new and mods) to do.

What other sites like Gigbucks, etc. have people used successfully for this sort of thing? I need something reliable that I can count on...

There's a million of these microfreelancing sites and I'd like to find one that is worth the time.

I used Textbroker for a while when I was -first- starting out. But that's only for text stuff. Elance is another good one that'll pay much better than Fiverr.

Well certainly I can tell you my website www.fiversworld.com is reliable since it is my website.

I can't really judge websites I have not use.

but I have used microwkers, minuetworkers, mturk and myeasytasks.

The problem with these three websites that they too cheap that most of them are spams.

Myeasytask, I would never use it again because if you stop a task you can't refund it and you have minimum of workers.

Microworkers is not bad but 30 minimum work is a lot.

Minuetworkers: I have a job there for a month with high pay and every person applied was completely spam one of them emailed me say of I am asking a lot please give me at least one dollar, I will not stop applying here or on anyother website until you pay me some money

Mturk: owned by amazon, and we all know how much they already sucks. They shut me down without a reason (they using automated system). in one day they sent 3 warning and 4th to shut account even though I emailed them what is going on. No reply

As far as they highers once similar to fiverr.

    I tried: gigvertiser, Zeerk, gigbucks.

gigvertiser: SPAM NO JOB DONE AND NO MONEY REFUNDED AND NO customer service.

    Zeerk: good service.

gigbucks: is a good one two

the only thing I would comment about both Zeerk & gigbucks that I didn't like is the search and filtering by price, they don't seems working well. I get wide area of result that are not really that much related.

    I hope that help.

Hi onegoodman, I visited your website, but when I click on any gigs, I got following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getrows() on a non-object in /home/fiversw1/public_html/view.php on line 41

Warning: Unknown: write failed: No space left on device (28) in Unknown on line 0

What about freelancer.com? You can find a lot more projects on there that will pay quite a bit more than the $5 fiverr offers.

I don't know why I didn't think of the more expensive sites. I guess I'll try those...

Still think Elance has the best quality in my opinion.

Comment: Gigbucks searh engine is terrible. It didn't pull up anybody that can do an ebook cover from what I saw.

ELance has tons of great workers, but they set a minimum price of $50. I think I can get around that by going to hourly though, but I don't like it not being for a fixed price.

Freelancer looks like it has a minimum of $30. The problem is that one of my projects just involves a minor tweak to an image. I don't want to pay $30 for that...

I've used most of the above mentioned, and have found two things to be true:

    1. Everybody overpromises what they can deliver
    2. You will usually have to weed through MANY useless providers to find the gems

That being said, I've found a handful of great providers who make money for me while I babble on forums!

Can't go wrong with TextBroker. It might be a little more expensive but I haven't been disappointed yet.

ELance is the way to go. Yes, the minimum might be $50 but it's quality work.
