How Do I Accept Client Payment (from overseas)

What's the best way to accept monthly payments from a client overseas. When I was living overseas (in the client's home country), he would just do direct deposit in my account. The payment differs from month to month. So I used to just e-mail him an invoice and he'd make a deposit.

Should I use paypal account now? I'm familiar with paypal, in fact I use paypal to accept payment for some of my online products. However, I've never thought about using it to bill an individual. (Also, I'd rather him not have to set up a paypal account).

Any help / suggestions?

Paypal for me is good and I don't have problem with the system. Maybe you can also use paypal.

I would use paypal but would have a back up payment plan just in case. I have my paypal set up with a debit card paypal issued me. when I was in Costa Rica all I had to do is find an ATM to get my money. I don't think your client will have to set up a paypal account to pay with a credit card/debit card but you would get charged a transaction fee doing it that way.

I use PayPal too. but as Michael stated above if your client don't have registration you will be charged some % for the transaction.
