When and when not to appove wso affililiate requests?

Since launching my WSO, I've received numerous requests from Warriors wanting to promote it.

My first port of call is always to check the requesters' profile. Quite often, I can see that they've requested to promote other WSO's.. sometimes like 6-10 others on the same day, or within a couple of days.

How can they seriously promote so many WSO's? Am i missing something?

Also, is it just me, or is it normal that the vast majority of the affiliates one approves, don't actually do anything at all?

What do you do with such affiliates?

I've tried contacting them after a few weeks and asking them if they need any help and received no replies, and this is not only related to newbies, but experienced Warriors too.

Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Warmest regards,

Stewart

I always approve all affiliates and don't bother to check any.

My reasoning: They already pay $3.95 per month to use the system; that means they can't be complete newbies or fraudsters.

  • A lot of people request to promote more WSOs than they actually deliver on. I always do.

That's a whole consequence of the affiliate model.

Some WSO sellers are very slow to approve requests. That means, if I want to mail about a WSO, I have to request more than I need to keep my options open.

And there are some WSOs look good, but then my own feedback, or the feedback I see in the thread says otherwise. And others just end up with conversion numbers which, even if I like the WSO, means it would be a wasted email to let other people know about it.

On top of that, there are different methods of promoting WSOs - whether it's by list emails, a tweet, a web review, or something else.

I certainly wouldn't turn down an affiliate just because they've requested a lot of WSOs.

It always comes down to the 80% - 20% rule. Eighty percent of your results will come from twenty percent of your affiliates. That pretty much holds true for everything in life.

I only actively promote a handful of products but I've signed up for hundreds of affiliate programs and products.

I suspect most of them are going to hit their list with the offer and hope they get a couple of sales. After that they are done with you and your product and are moving on to the next product in line.

The very nature of the Warrior Forum means that most people will only promote offers for a short time.

Most WSOs are timely, and people 'in the know' mainly buy WSOs that have been recently posted. So, the most successful promotional method, will always be to promote fresh WSOs.

A lot of WSOs close after a certain length of time, or the creator moves onto another offer.

If I was building a long-term business promoting affiliate products, for instance an affiliate review website, I wouldn't be focusing on WSOs for it. For quick promotions of fresh products, WSOs are a good move.

I go to their profile page.

If they have just signed up (sometimes that day) I pass on them.

If they have been a forum member for a significant length of time I approve them.

WSO conversions from a list are tough to gauge. Sometimes I can send out a mailing and get a few sales, sometimes nothing at all.

Overall, once I have approved an affiliate I don't even look at it again. I certainly don't go back and take anybody off of the list. Can't imagine why I would want to.

I've never really understood that either but I guess there must have been something that happened in the past with the system that sparked that option?
