Google + is going to be huge for marketers

I snipped this from a blog:

Google is building G+ from the ground-up with the commercial platform in mind. The way circles work will encourage people to follow brands more promiscuously than they currently do on FB and Twitter because they can filter it out of their streams and interact when they want to. Google also has all of the other pieces to make G+ ubiquitous on the web. It will quite literally be a web that consumers will be trapped in everywhere they go: RSS, checkout, blogs, search, ads, etc..

To keep up with the latest developments, you can follow Christian Oestlien https://plus.google.com/105923173045...49725307/posts , he's the Ads Lead for the G+ project. His stream contains lots of interesting insight into what's going on.

I believe, based on Google's existing products, G+ will also be working hard to keep anything remotely related to IM or Make Money Now off. Someone with a legitimate brand and product might do well on G+ but I think the smaller guys and the newbies are going to find it difficult to get started and may wind up getting themselves banned in their attempts.

Just my opinion though. I am sure that Google is keeping a close watch on the swarm of flies bashing against their invite page desperate to get in and start hawking their wares.

That's all find and dandy but what if I have products or promote products that have absolutely nothing to do with these niches? They are going to find a way to kick me off too?

I don't think so. Additionally I don't believe G+ has announced an advertising model, but something tells me its going to have something to do with Facebook.

I wonder what the Keyword research tool is going to look like in a few years. Maybe it will display information from G+ in addition to normal search results.

Exactly, being able to select to what group of friends you want to share something... is huge!

I already created separated circles for people that are adding me. Closest friends, friends, known people, partners, etc.

I agree and am excited to see where Google+ will take us and how it will be used and viewed in the future. Is there any info on when it will be publicly launched?

Sparks is where the real marketing will take place. People choose their interests and as long as you post your offering on the public timeline, they should show up there.

As it won't actually physically trap consumers in sticky strands secreted from a spider's bottom, I don't think it will LITERALLY be a web.

OK pedant hat off. In all honesty I don't see this getting any bigger than Google Buzz, which is to say, minimal.

G+ just got over 10 M users. Which is a good start up place to beat the FB. And I know thet the Google marketing is much stronger and usefull, so will see the results next year.

This is what really stands out for me about Google+ -- often with Facebook, people won't share things with everyone for fear of ridicule or just because it won't interest most people on their friend's list.

With Google+ you really can get that message to market match down pat, whether you're a "regular" person or a marketer. LOVE IT!

I'm a fan of Google+... the only reason I use it though is because I already use so many other Google products, and since the black bar is at the top of them all, it makes it very easy.

Yeah, Google + offers a lot of advantages

You can choose whom to keep in your circles, They only get to know that you added them in one of your circles but they dont get to know which ones.

So, that ways, it offers privacy as well as the flexibility to check updates from different circles

In facebook, all updates are shown up on your wall, In google +, you can choose to see updates from different circles

    Google + rocks!

You can view your Facebook feed by lists too. You don't have to view it with all of your friends updates at once. Click on "most recent" and choose what list you want to view the feed for at the bottom.

Anyone can get in now with an invite. They haven't shut down the invite system all week, unlike last week when they only opened it up for an hour or two. With 10 million people on there already, most people should know at least someone that can invite them.

PM me if you need one.
