I sold a few Craigslist marketing guides about a year and a half ago, and they became extremely popular... viral marketing works LOL As you know, trying to market on Craigslist has become next to impossible, which has made one of my marketing guides totally worthless (the strategy no longer works because of phone verification). So here's the problem... I sold MRR to the guide at one time and it is literally all over the place online, constantly being sold by resellers. So for months I've been getting a lot of people emailing me, basically because they run into problems with the strategy, and some are pretty angry at me for "wasting their time". How, or what should I do to handle this? I respond to these folks as much as possible explaining that I no longer sell the guide and can't control outside sales, but I feel like I'm getting a bad rap for something I can't control. How would you handle this situation? |

Hi, Interesting "problem" going viral ![]() I'd research my eyeballs off to come up with solutions. Write a report on the "fix/workaround" put some links to my other GREAT products in it and give the "updated" report to all who contacted me. Also I'd go through my report and find any links to my other sites and be sure to put the updated fix on each page. George Wright |

Well there is no work around, that's really the issue. Plus it's getting into the blackhat realm trying to cheat Craigslist so a "fix guide" won't do the trick in this case. I should have explained this in the first post, sorry about that! |

Do you have any type of info product that you can offer for free to the people who are angry? Perhaps if you create a form email explaining the situation and then offer them a free report it would smooth over their anger and help your rep. You come out looking like a champ by offering a nice service. Probably won't make everyone happy, but it couldn't hurt.

That is an interesting problem. I would say that the responsibly of "customer" support rests with the person who sold it. My suggestion to them would be to contact the person they bought it from and exercise their right on the return policy (if there was one). You may want to create a web page that contains an update to the changes made by Craigs List. Offer some other suggestions, etc You don't have a financial obligation to these people but you might be able to salvage the contact by giving them something else. |

Au Contraire, The work around does not have to be using craigslist. "Dear eBook buyer, the days of using craigslist for Internet Marketing are gone, at least for me. Why? To take it any further would at best be considered blackhat marketing and at worst would be illegal. However, Craig's list or no Craig's list, our concern is Internet Marketing, specifically, HOW DO WE GET OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES before the eyes of our prospective buyers. To that end I've devoted an entire year to my beat the mess out of Craig's list product, Article Agent Pro. You as a purchaser of my eBook will be one of the FIRST persons on planet Earth to see this Wonderful NEW Marketing Tool. Here's the deal...." to be continued George Wright |

Great idea about offering up something for free... sometimes I don't know what I'd do without this forum! Thanks folks! |

Get it pulled of the market as much as possible. Here's how: 1. Get a spider that will find & email sellers. 2. When people email you, explain the problem & tell them to ask for a refund. This will let the seller know who might or might not pull it. 3. Make a few blog posts so if people search, they might find it. |
