My first website.

Hello People,

I'm going to take the plunge very soon and create my first website.

I've found a service that i can outsource and make a nice little profit.

but i have one problem i dont know the first thing about websites or seo or affilliate marketing through the website (which is something id like to do once im generating traffic to get more income)

can somone give me newbie advice starting from scratch as i havent the faintest where to look

    I would look into using wordpress as a base for your website. Yes, it's a blog platform/software, but can also be used effectively as a CMS (Content Management System).

    Enough technical talk, hehe.. Wordpress is easy to install if you have the right hosting (needs to have cPanel and fantastico, most have this - I recommend hostgator.com).

    It's also super easy to maintain. You just log in and post a new blogpost, or write new content for a new page. Wordpress is free and heavily supported with free themes and plugins to make your website life even easier.

    Have a search on the forums for wordpress - there are tons of free guides out there.

    Depends what kind of website you want to make, but you could also look for free templates - lot's of free squeezepage templates out there if you want to start off simple.
