Hi-ho, Warriors.

I intended to put some of this in the other (Don't Wait Till It's Too Late) thread, but when I tried to find it to post, it said "Invalid Thread", so I assumed the thread got nuked.

Anyway, I know some of you are looking for an update on our "situation", so here it is:

Today I sent the funds Western Union Quick Collect to the mortgage company. I called in the numbers they needed. The only thing left to do is sign some papers they are faxing us and fax them back first thing Monday morning. I know I will breathe easier when that last step is done, because I won't have the nagging worry that "something may go wrong" hounding me every minute.

On the gratitude front, some of the kids have given me (in their own words) a "Thank You" to post here for everyone who helped us with this. We ALL appreciate what you have done. But here are four specific thank you's from my younger kids:

Trevvy says: Thank you, Warriors! I'm thankful that we don't have to move because of the memories we have here, and the people...I would miss them a lot if we would have had to leave. And all the stuff we can do here...we'd have to change a lot of stuff if we'd had to move and I wouldn't have liked that very much.

Tater says: Thank you, Warriors, cause I've been here since I was three, and somewhere else just wouldn't be the same, and this land here is nice and comfortable but it might not be somewhere else. And I'm also thankful that we get to keep our clubhouse!

Kat says: Thank you, Warriors, cause we got to stay in this house and not leave this house, and I'm thankful second cause I don't have to bring all my toys out!

Jag says: Thank you cause we get to stay here forever!

Thank you all,
Tina

Thank you Maurice. That's just what I intend to do.

    This from Brit:

    Dear Warriors:

Thank you all so much for all of your help and support. It means so much to each of us in so many ways.

This place has been home to me for as long as I can remember. There's scads of memories living and being made each day here, and I'm so glad we'll be here to continue seeing them grow with each other.

Thanks again in ways I can never express through mere words alone to each and every one of you.

    Blessings,
    Brittany

Thanks traces! I'm pretty sure I have the absolute best kids in the world...but my husband tells me I might be just a little bit biased...don't know why. LOL

Congratulations to you Tinkerbell and to your family!

I also want to say this is a great testimonial for the Warrior Forum itself. There sure has been a lot of Warrior Forum bashing lately (and I mean right here in the Warrior Forum) and your story is one that should make ALL Warriors proud!

ptone: Thank you for the congrats...although it belongs to you and all the wonderful people here for making this happen.

I know I haven't shut up for a minute telling my family and friends how generous and caring and helpful the people are at this forum. Bashers should do some homework...and be ashamed.

      mmurtha,

      Thank you!

Er, I have projects stacked up through March already (if everyone who has asked about writing follows through). Hopefully this year will be the year of change for us. I'm going to do my best to make it so anyway.

Hugs going round now...and Happy New Year to you and yours!

      Tina

    Tina,

I really don't know what to say. I'm sure no words can add to how you're feeling right now.

Take some time to enjoy the respite. Treasure everything you have. Be happy. Keep each other safe. Always.

Tina, thank you for sharing the messages from your kids. It really helps to understand the magnitude of the good thing that happened here.

Please do us all a favor and take some time from your writing schedule to put this story into words. I'm sure there are dozens of news outlets who would be interested in a human interest story like this. It would be a chance to show the heart of the community here.

I'm so glad you made the deadline!

I'm sure theres a few womens and lifestyle magazines that would pay some good bucks for a story like that, written from your angle with all your fears and joys.

Definately worth a go, a positive story in troubled economic times

congratulations Tina, I am so glad you kept your home

    Good afternoon Warriors!

Here I am with a final update on this: It's finished! :-) (doin' a happy dance!) As of this morning, papers are all signed up and faxed back, and the foreclosure is STOPPED. Took the MC a bit to get us the papers, but they finally got them over, and everything is now taken care of. NOW I can relax on that front.

Thank you to everyone offering congratulations. I am so thankful I could cry...but the rest of you are the ones who deserve the congrats...YOU did it. You all made it possible by stepping up and coming together. So I say Congratulations WARRIORS! You did it! Yeah!
