To get money within a month or two, buy an established site like the above poster already mentioned.

However if you want my opinion, a smarter option would be to take some time to find your own passionate and profitable niche. Use your capital to build your own website. It will be more satisfying to do it yourself and if you do your leg work correctly it can be more profitable than anything you buy. Remember that people often keep the best websites to themselves.

For you I would recommend getting a membership into the War Room.

There are a TON of ideas and strategies in there that could help you narrow your direction.

You have to decide if you want your business to sell a product or service - or if you want to specialize in promoting other peoples products.

You have to decide on a niche. What kind of business do you want? Do you want to sell cars or gym equipment or plants or ???

You are going to want to educate yourself a bit and learn the best way to promote what ever it is you are selling.

You may want to do some market research.

Right now, what you are asking is very vague, and you will get a million different answers.

Only you should decide what to do with your funds by being informed - don't let others tell you what business. What works for me may not work for you.

Looks like it's a new trend ... save up a few thousands and buy a web site that advertised to "make $400+ / month" ...

Most of the people that go this route fail because their mind is set on "I'll just invest and that's it" , sorry, it doesn't work this way.
You have some capital - Great, but it doesn't mean that you not going to put any work. You still going to work like a mofo.
Best way:
Find something that you passionate
Think how you can monetize it
Find a keyword in your niche, or pay someone to do it for you
Build a site
Pay for SEO, rankings, traffic
??????????
profit.

OR

Get a coach.

Use the money to BUILD your business.

You could build up a nice link portfolio and outsource for decent content with a few grand. I think you could probably make your own site that'll be profitable fairly quickly if you do things right. Buying someone else's site is one possible avenue, but it might be difficult to expand on it.

Hire someone to create content for you on something you have a passion for and develop a site around that. Make sure you build a list immediately no matter what you do. $2000 may seem like a lot but honestly.. its really not. Expect to do some work if you want to profit.

Makes me wonder whether this is just becoming the thing to do...

Anyhow, the best idea is to put away your dollars for now and just read what you find in the various threads on WF. There are quiet a few golden nuggets hidden in this forum. golden nuggets is actually misleading; I should better say gold mines right in front of your eyes.

I agree with you and he should put the money away until he has a good understanding of how things work. I can easily see that $2k going down the drain with no income to show for it.

2 months to generate a decent income is just not enough time, unless you have done it a thousands times and know exactly what to do

I would use it to build a sites and build traffic. Most newbie pay heaps to get a site up, and have no money for traffic left when it is ready. A big trap you can fall into.

Its not really a lot of money and 2k - 3k can go fast if you do not know what you are doing. So good luck, but keep coming here and reading you will learn alot of great things. Lots of warriors pour out their hard earned knowledge here every day. Good luck.
