Anyone have luck with Fiverr flier posters?

INTERNET MARKETING

I was thinking about throwing out a couple of fiverrs at some gigs where people post fliers around their city promoting your site.

I haven't had much luck with other gigs: twitter posting, FB posting, LinkedIN posting and a couple of terrible graphics gigs. I did get one really good gig and have continued to do business with them outside of fiverr.

Anyone have any success with the fliers?

It won't be for my custom shirt sites, it's for the first link in my sig.

I ordered one of these gigs once but I think my flier sucked. I got no sales and very little traffic.

To get results with that, it's possible for $5 I guess but I would say, pay a bit more money to get somebody go distributing them hand to hand where a lot of people are hanging out or all in one place for a big event.

  I just discovered fiverr last week and thought it was the greatest site since slice cheese. Untill I started buying gigs and noticed Zero Results:rolleyes:

  Here's why handing out fliers doesn't work.
  
  Trust: You're not a local business. There's no trust factor. It's not like a 50% off coupon for Joe's Car Wash. They pass Joe's a couple of times a week, they know where it is, they may have even had their car washed there.
  
  You can't overcome barriers to trust with a flier, not even in the MMF niche where marketers make outrageous and unprovable income claims. If they got 1 lead out of 100 fliers distributed I'd consider that a good result. Is one lead worth $5 to you?
  
  Take a moment and read this three-page story. It'll tell you a lot about "street spam" and who does it and why they conceal their identity.

Why not get a good design program like Avery, print them out on a color printer at home or professionally printed, have some high school or college kids hand them out in targeted areas for a good price? I bet you'd be getting better conversions.

I bet with Fiverr, they could easily post a pic with a few fliers distributed and maybe that's all. Easily faked, just my opinion

I remember passing out a lot fliers when I was young. For example, I passed out approx 2,000 fliers in front of a swap. OK so we got only one conversion.

Like this is a very ineffective strategy, but that is just me. Hey, as they say. Bro, your mileage may vary.
