Facebook for list buidling is horrible??

Hey warriors. After having success with google , I attempted Facebook fanpages for building my list in the dog training niche and check this stats out:

74 clicks
39 cents a click
52 likes
2% ctr
0 opt-ins

now my math was never the best but last I checked thats a blooming 0% conversion rate.

My fan page is pretty cool, non hype , just given quality advice.

Anybody having success with facebook and opt-in pages??

I would love to hear some tips! Thanks alot!

Hi Sharingan, from my experience Facebook conversions for email opt-ins tends to be very low. I think it has to do with the nature of Facebook - people are there to socialize, not to find out information.

I think it still makes more sense to redirect traffic to your squeeze page, and once you have a relationship with your list to then direct them to LIKE your Facebook page to get the viral effect going.

    Hope this helps!

I've found that you have to build a daily relationship with your Facebook list. Post articles, ask questions, give advice and try to sell stuff occasionally.

You must have to establish a relationship with Facebook, and make it like a daily habit for you to check your account. Make it busy by posting articles, asking some questions and if you will, try to sell some stuff using your Facebook. Make people from Facebook to LIKE your account. This would help.

Hey. Followed your advice about redirecting the traffic to my main site squeeze page and my optins went from 0% to 10%. While not the most astounding optin rate it has restored some of my faith in facebook.

      Thanx for the tips

I think that facebook users are just reluctant to enter their information for anything. Think about all the spam they already recieve, and all of the phishing attempts that are attempted daily. It would make even the most trusting FB users hesitant.

I think to start with you could focus on creating value for the Facebook fans actually on Facebook, rather than trying to get them to opt in to something else too.

i totally agree with handy, facebook user are there for only socialization not to read to see advertisement. So it is very difficult to get visitors or potential customers from facebook. Our company have facebook fan page but i think not getting that good results....
