Hi guys,

I have a website with 8000 registered users that grows on a monthly basis and I would like to send them a newsletter every first of the month in example. My programmer made it so that I can send a newsletter to all users with one click on the button which is awesome but my hosting provider "host gator" only limits me to send a maximum of 500 emails per hour.

I was looking for some solutions online but I think I'm overlooking some options.

Could anybody please point out the options I have or send me to a source where I can find out all I need to know.

Thanks so much in advance,
Una

I use autoresponseplus (autoresponseplus.com). It installs on your domain, and you can throttle the number of emails sent per hour. The cost is $197, and this includes free installation. If your list gets significantly larger, you perhaps should consider getting a dedicated server with this software.

    Hi Una,

godaddy.com allows 250 email relays per email id established for a given domain.
You are allowed 100 email accounts with the economy hosting package at $4.99/mo and more with the delux and ultimate accounts. With the economy package (100 email accounts), you can send 25,000 emails without a time limit. However...

    1) You will need to setup 32 email accounts beforehand (32 x 250 = 8000 subscribers), i.e. list1@yourdomain.com, list2@yourdomain.com ... list32@yourdomain.com. This goes quite quickly w/the godaddy interface.

    2) Your programmers code will need to change the email relay after every 250 emails are sent. The logic would be something like:

With your list of 8000 email address's,
    1. send 1st 250 through list1@yourdomain.com
    2. Send 2nd 250 through list2@yourdomain.com
    ...
    32. Send 32nd 250 through list32@yourdomain.com

Now all 8000 emails have been sent.

    Hope this helps.

      @inspiredguy,

This is not recommended. Not only is it unwieldy, but may be considered "gaming" the system and possibly lose your account because all emails will have the same domain. Always read the TOS.

You could always get a 3rd party autoresponder service like AWeber, iContact or GetResponse.

You might be able to put those leads in iContact right away without having them confirm. You'll want to call iContact to make sure.

Thanks for all your suggestions, advice and sharing of knowledge.

I heard a couple times about aweber, and after looking at their service I think they are most likely a good fit for me.

      Thanks so much again!

You're crazzy for not investing into something like GetResponse. Those software are so powerful now that it does everything for you and it is so easy to work with.

I'm sure you'll get a better delivery rate with those services too, you'll be able to send them faster and you'll have all kind of stats and options.
