How to Get sponsors for contest

Hi, so my blog is having its first contest this January and right now I am finding sponsors for the contest in my blog. I believe my blog is that decent enough to attract sponsors for the contest which I really wanted to be a great one. Now I would like to ask you guys on tips on how can I find sponsors for my contest. I mean I just thought maybe some people just got tired of sponsoring something because contest seems to be everywhere.

So far, I got some tech products from affiliate networks that I am a member with. I think it helps that I have built a nice relationship with them for this one.

    The answer for me is reciprocity.

    Build relationships with people in your niche and then when you need a favor just ask. Build relationships by helping people out.

    Mustard is right in that it helps to develop relationships in your niche. You help each other out, etc. Always easier to ask a favor from a friend rather than a stranger.

    Now regardless of whether your potential sponsors are friends or strangers, there's one over riding thing you must remember: Your sponsors want to know, "what's in it for me?"

    What do they get out of the deal? You should tilt the deal in their favor. People will size up your offer based on their ROI -- so if you can give them a lot of benefit in exchange for them offering relatively little on their end, they're more likely to say yes.


    Also -- as they consider this offer, they're going to take a close look at you to see if you're credible. If you post on forums as "googleninja," you lose credibility. (Hopefully your sites have your full name, etc -- I didn't look.)
