Need Advice on writing

Hello guys,
I'm a writer who recently started offering my services for clients through freelancing sites. I must say that these guys are really exploitative. The pay ranges from $.5-$1 for a 500 word article, which is very low and they want the best service possible. These guys make me almost despair at working.
I would appreciate if anyone would help me out in directing me on how to get areas that pay fairly.
Thanks
Writerdave

Check out elance. I've had the best luck freelancing there while making the best amount of money. Also get your own website up and rolling. Check out Craig Desorcy and Tiffany Dow's Ghostwriting Cash. It's a great product that is completely legit. I used it and made a full time income with the techniques. Good luck.

    Hi Dave,

I recently started along the path of becoming a writer, too. I definitely can understand your frustration but I'd like to believe there is hope.

I've also been on the other side of the coin: I've hired other people to do writing for me and let me tell you, the writing is hit or miss. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

So maybe you can try what I am, which is offer free writing services and get your writing out there. See how it goes. Don't give up before you start.

      Hi Patrick,

Not to hijack this thread at all but I just wanted to say I read that post last month and it's one of the reasons I decided to start writing here on the Warrior Forum. Excellent advice.

I used to write at that rates. I had few options at that time because I didn't know how to apply for jobs at freelancing sites. Even today, there are freelancing sites where employers offer low rates, such as $1 per 500-word article. Now I only accept writing jobs that offer $5 or more per article.

    Thanks, CoolAromas,

I will check this out thoroughly as I get a lot of newbies emailing me asking advice, who are wanting to make their first dollar quickly while learning Internet marketing.

    Great resource.
