What are some good site i can get quality backlinks to my site.

Many people say it's about the quality of where is the backlink coming from. What are some sites the are good for it? My site is about weightloss pills.

    You can go to a number of sites, but personally, I like setting up a "Link wheel" for mine.

    1. Set up a blogger blog at blogger.com for free, and post an article or two relevant to your niche.
    2. Link it to your site
    3. Set up a blog on Wordpress.com with some good content on it. Link it to your main website and to your blogger blog.
    4. Set up a Squidoo lens with good content and a link to your wordpress site and a link to your main website. Keep doing this with facebook, myspace, and any other Web 2.0 sites you can find
    5. Go to Pingomatic.com and ping all of your sites
    6. Claim all of your blogs on Technorati.com
    6.5 Go to Digg.com, stumbleupon.com, and reddit.com and add a bookmark to ALL of your blogs and linking pages
    7. Wash, Rinse, and Repeat

    Also, comment on blogs, forums, and other sites in your niche. Being relative is every bit as important as being a high PR link.

    Is that what a link wheel is? I thought it was do follow links in a big circle. I've made links from Blogger, Typepad, Ezine, Hubpages, Factoidz, Squidoo, Go articles, Triond, and a number of other lower quality places like Digg, Delicious, Bebo, Google Buzz, Linked in, Blurpalicious, She Told Me, forums, and a couple of directories. Thing is, I don't think the keyword has a high search volume, which I should have worked out before I bought a domain name. I'm gonna do better keyword research next time, although it's only been a week since I first started making my own sites on Wordpress. Weight loss would be very hard to compete for.

      Unfortunately Google is a bit "smarter" than that, what you really need are relevant links - links that come from the same niche more or less - or the master niche.
      The better content and quality these sites are - the more "score" you will get from that link - that means - put your effort in getting 10-20 links from niche relevant high score sites than 1000+ other sites... It will make the whole difference !!!

    I would post on forums and blogs that's related to "weight loss pills" with good page rank. This way you will have good quality links related to your nice and rank better in the search engines.
