No money, no PayPal, no website, non-american and underage

by 18 comments
Hello Warriorforum,
I am in a pretty stupid situation at the moment as I do not have any money, don“t have a paypal account, don“t have a useful domain, am not from America and am underage.

Is there anything I can do to get started with Internet Marketing?

I have already applied for several jobs in my area but I“d like to get started already.

Thanks

Open a free PayPal account and if you have any skills that are useful create an account at freelancer or elance and bid on jobs posted on these sites. You can have money in your PayPal account within a couple of days if you put your mind to it.

Once you earn some money you then have more choice about how you wish to proceed about making money online.

Open a PayPal account (as others have mentioned already)

Then have a think at what you are good at.

Are you good at writing for example? Many people here pay good money to have stuff written.

Or perhaps you're good at design (photoshop etc)...

To get into Internet Marketing without cash, you need to look at your own talents.

Also check out Fiverr.com for inspiration.

I'm surprised that no ones mentioned reading up on and learning what you can about internet market. Don't become an information junkie though.

What you really need to do is create action steps. Here are a few:

    - As mentioned several times above, create a PayPal account.
    - Use Freelance, Elance, and Fivver to sell your skill and get paid.
    - You can try asking someone to sponsor you, maybe making a small donation to your PayPal account. I suggest having a plan for what you're going to do with the money and then getting back to them to let them know their money was used for what you said you were going to use it for. If they see that you are taking action and doing the things you say you are going to do, you may be able to hit them up again in the future if you need more money. I highly suggest building relationships with anyone help you. Don't just always ask them for things. Find out if there's anything you can do for them because you appreciate them.
    - Find a mentor! This is may take a while, be persistent, and once you find one, you will accelerate your learning a million fold!
    - Focus on learning some fundamentals like Photoshop and Word. These skills are going to come in really handy when you actually start doing things.
    - Get yourself up to 50 posts by reading threads and asking questions about things you don't understand. Once you have 50 posts you can use the Private Messaging feature on the forum.
    - Continue adding to this list as more people add comments and ideas.
    - Start a journal of all the action that your taking. This forces you to create a track record for success.

    Hope this helps,

You can try your mark on Fiverr.com - you might have some luck there, offer some gigs and start doing something creative.

Paypal account should not be a problem - its free.

    Good Luck.

    Thanks for the replies guys!

But donĀ“t I have to verify my bank account for paypal? I might be able to do this later but IĀ“m not sure whether I can get money on it unverified.

    Welcome on board,
to begin with, start elevating your knowledge base. Warriorforum is full of useful information you will need to learn about internet marketing.

Paypal is free, domain and hosting are free too (www.000webhost.com/ , www.nic.cz.cc/, and tons of others) . The only cost you need to cover for now is the internet. So there`s no excuses to not start acting today.

It would be best to be able to open an paypal account that is linked to a bank account so that you can actually spend(and save) your earnings! Otherwise it's just sitting in your paypal account :/

So do whatever is needed to get a bank account open. Have your parents open a joint account with you. If you to sign up for something that requires you to be 18 and over, have a parent or friend, cousin, whatever, that's over 18 do it for you and you pay them a small percentage of profit.

And learn what you can. You can definitely take actions steps RIGHT NOW, regardless of your age, but it'll take some thinking on your part on how to get it done (legally)!

It's good to want to help - but some of the advice here is not good.

There is an age limit to open a paypal account - unless you have a parent or guardian that will help you. Lying about your age now can cause big problems for you later when you really need to make money to support yourself.

    Why is your situation "stupid"?
    Can you access ANY money?
    Where do you live?
    How old are you?

Thanks again for all the replies. I can verify my paypal account in a few months probably so itĀ“s no problem for me to store it there for some time.

At the moment I canĀ“t access any money, but IĀ“ll probably get about $100 on Thursday
    I live in the Netherlands

I've been underage... I started underage and I still am.
I have my free paypal account, with my Debit Card I got registered under my mom.

My Clickbank checks are paid to my Mom..
    So it's not hard.
Just explain to your parents what you're doing.

How "underage" are you? Why don't you get a brick and mortar job instead? Learn the way a business works first? Your connections in the offline business world could lead to you landing them as clients once you are of a legal age to get your own Paypal account. Learn how to build websites, do SEO etc

You may get a slower start, but you can get started. Try setting up a blog over at blogger.com for free to begin with. Then you can try either Adsense or affiliate ads, or both if you want.

You will have to find a payment processor that will work with a minor. As Kay said, you can lie to PayPal about your age now but if they ever require documentation from you, even years from now, it's a very good possibility that you will lose your account for lying to them.

For now, it might be better to work with sites that will send checks as your parents can help you cash them. Or ask one of your parents if they would set up a PayPal account in their name for you to use.

You can offer services, once you have a payment method in place, to start getting some capital for funding domains and hosting as needed. You might even find people willing to make those purchases for you in exchange for work.

I am 16, I believe I can create a paypal account itĀ“s just that I canĀ“t verify it and I am afraid that my parents donĀ“t want to do that for me.

I do have some money now so I can get hosting and a domain name, and I believe you donĀ“t have to be 18 or older to cash checks?
