Here's how I do it and it works!

If you want to make money on the internet and establish a good online income, it's best to follow a proven plan of attack. Simply trying different things all the time is a waste of effort and at the end of the day, you'll end up where you started. The key is to focus your efforts.

What follows is a "blueprint" of how to set up an automatic income machine on the internet that really works and will have you make money on the internet in no time....

Step 1) Find an affiliate product that a lot of other people are selling and promoting. If you choose a product that no one is trying to sell or promote, you can be sure there is a reason they are not selling or promoting it. It doesn't sell - that's why. You can always tell which products are doing the best by searching on a particular keyword and then checking out the ads that are being run on Google. THOSE are the products that are selling - affiliates are spending money on them and are making a profit. These products are making money on the internet so...
Pick one of those products.

Step 2) Set up a "landing page" for that particular product. Some people call this a "squeeze page" because the purpose of the page is to get the prospect to enter their name and email to get something - i.e. we "squeeze it out of them". I don't really prefer that term but prefer the term "opt in". The prospect is opting to receive whatever information it is you are offering to them.

What do you offer them? Something very valuable or at least it's perceived or presented as valuable so that the prospect will fill out your form. The landing page MUST have a good match with the product that you want to promote. If the product is a fly fishing manual, then your landing page should offer them a guide on tying flys or a step by step guide to casting. If the product is "How to Make Money Online", then you should offer them something that shows them how to do that - free. You get the idea.

Step 3) Set up an autoresponder and fill it with more free content on the subject of the product you want to promote. Here's where a LOT of people trying to make it online fail. All they do is ask for the order over and over again. This will never make money online. Do that and people will unsubscribe or stop opening your emails. You can spend hundreds and even thousands building a list of people interested in fly fishing but if all you try to do is sell them something, they'll be gone in an instant.

Instead, every 4 days or so, send them another free helpful tip or tell them where one of the best places to fly fish is located and how to get there. Only about every 4 or 5 emails do you let them know that you have something they may be interested in and how to get it.

Step 4) Advertise your free item on Adwords or some other pay per click advertising system. Your goal is to get 20% or more signing up for your free item. Monitor your cost per lead so that you know what your leads cost. Then, monitor your conversion rate each time a group of leads hits the 4th or the 8th email where you have your "sales pitch" for the product. You'll quickly learn if the campaign is profitable or not.

Once you have one profitable campaign set up, you can then develop another one for another affiliate product. Replicate this "blueprint" over and over and you will not only make money online, you'll soon be making over $1,000/day.

Hi - Yes I agree. This is all very doable. The most important part in the equation is picking the right target product. You can also offer another free product if they purchase through your link. That works well too.

Trying to create a product and then trying to create a demand for it is silly. They teach you in school that it's all about "supply and demand" - BACKWARDS!

It's all about DEMAND and then supplying that demand.

Agree for sure, its always better when starting out to target niches that already have a proven success in their area and follow up using techniques that are similar to your competitors. Focusing your attention into one source generating system always helps for sure!

I am just starting a process which is exactly the same as what you've described! You're right, target the profitable niches first and find the right products to promote with them, and set up your free product to entice others to sign up for your opt in lists! A good explanation in your post!

I agree with those who say that people must take action. If not then nothing will change in your life!!
1) idea
2) plan
3) implementation/action

all three parts make a whole and that's the key to success!
do it one step at a time! but DO IT! and if it doesn't work, don't kick yourself, analyze which parts of what you're doing doesn't work and improve it and move forward.

i hear your words and think that it is a no brainer and great advice for some, especially noob's... but following this just leads to a more and more saturated market...

if people dont try new things and start thinking out of the box, methods as you discuss would never evolve in the first place...

As an owner of an web development/SEO company had we stuck with the same routine five years ago we would be out of a business right now, we have to implement and put twists on things all the time and try out new methods that we develop to stay ahead of the game...

you will always have competition and you need to be aware of it, you maybe doing good today, but tomorrow is a different day... dont get complacent using the same method as one day it may not work...

I remember seeing a quote some time ago about choice. Everything we do in life is a series of choices. You can either choose to succeed, or by not choosing, choose to fail by default. The choice is yours.

The steps work. I do disagree that it is always "that simple". It does not need to be much harder then that, but I think people make it harder by stressing over the "big" picture. They get overwhelmed and then their brains have a hard time digesting the information.

The old adage of KEEP IT SIMPLE should say it all, but the brain is a complex mechanism. It has to deal with learning, fear, insecurity, doubt and a host of other problems.

It is interesting that this post is a simple blueprint to get started. Sure there are some details to take care of as you go, getting an autoresponder, creating the messages, all minor things that as you TAKE ACTION you will find not nearly so difficult as you may have imagined them.

I remember the first system I was exposed to on the net was directory sites for google adsense revenue. I just did what they said and made some money... Then I refined it with my business partner and created over $700,000 for myself and our partners.

Do what winebuddy says, and you won't need to "whine" about anything but taxes after that...

Pick something and try it, if you don't have $ for PPC, do some articles, some Press Releases, put links on your blog, comment on others blogs. (don't be blatantly marketing, just help out) There are plenty of folks that need the products and the more of them you resonate with, the bigger piece of the pie you get.
