Make Money With QR codes - They are everywhere - ingenious marketing methods

After reading an article on QR codes and the new uses for the technology that are popping up almost daily it got me thinking of innovative ways to use them in my marketing.

Depending on what you use them on, people are curious and want to see what they say.

I thought about testing a Web site with nothing there but a QR code.

For offline marketing sending just a fortune cookie with a QR code inside.

For offline marketing using just a QR code on Craigslist.

I thought the brilliant markeing minds on the Warrior forum would be a good place to get and share some ideas that would make for good marketing promotions using a QR code.

Any ideas?

    I have printed a lot of QR Code Shirts at my site:

    95% of people have just been getting their URLs converted and printed. One guy wanted a pretty lengthy text of sales copy. I get an occasional "witty" remark people want made.

    I don't know if it is just my phone, but I have trouble reading QR Codes that are on my computer screen. Seems to be to much glare. There have been a couple I have had to print out then scan with my phone.

    Business cards and the newspaper would be a GREAT way to use them!

    and looks like there is a growing community repeatedly use it
    And it is a real hot offline and online attractive marketing tools

    Putting QR codes on a t-shirt is a cool idea, I thought it was clever. You need to figure out where to put a QR code where people are prone to whip out their phone and start texting or to play a game to pass some time.

    Transportation would be a good area to look into:
    Subway's
    Bus's
    Airport's
    Taxi's
    Train's

    Maybe try to target attraction area's:
    Amusement Parks
    Recreation Land
    Parks
    Monuments

    You can get pretty creative with this, I already have allot of ideas coming to mind.

    Love this idea.

    For some reasons, QR codes actually builds up curiosity. That's why people tend to be more attracted to it.

    I am a partner in an advertising company, and we have just recently started adding QR codes to our ad's inside bars, lounges, restaurants, etc. Very simple QR codes as well that just send the person who scanned it to the website and sends them one discount text message to bring in next time they visit. The clients are loving it.

    If it weren't for the higher usage, I would write off QR codes a a fad, they are function equivalents to those sometimes annoying short code cloaked sales links.

    One interesting application is to tie it into cell phone short code lead captures

      With all due respect, I guess you didn't see the news channel that I did where they did a segment on QR codes and stated that "THIS IS NOT A FAD, this is the FUTURE for low-cost advertising!"

    As a restaurant, I'd consider putting QR codes on my cups! I think it's a great concept, everyone has to drink something, so you might as well put the QR code directly into their hands.
