Music videos niche - any way to monetize a list?

I was wondering if anyone might have any ideas on how one could monetize a list of people interested in music videos. Is it even worth the time to try and build an email subscriber list for this niche?

There's a couple of big sites in this niche and the monetization seems to be pretty typical - ads for ringtones, dating offers, itunes, that sort of thing. I haven't seen anyone trying to build an email list though.

I was thinking iPhone and video download/converter products from Clickbank might be worth trying to promote to a list?

    Yes, there is a way:

    Apple iTunes affiliate program.

    It actually converts pretty good and you can make a lot of money with it. It's through Linkshare (at least it was 6 months ago).

    I tried it with iPad apps and it made quiet a few dollars for me.

      Sorry to be so detail specific - The US and CA iTunes programs are through LinkShare but the Europe iTunes affiliate programs are under TradeDoubler and AU/NZ is through DGM Pro. ...Yeah, there are 22 separate programs...

    Yes you should start building a list. Look on the calendar to see when some big name video's are debuting and build your list by asking people to sign up to "be one of the first notified" when the video comes out.

    How do you monetize said list? Your options are endless. Of course iTunes pops into mind, but music artists have all kinds of stuff like t-shirts, posters, dvds, etc that you could use to monetize your list via affiliate marketing.

    Think outside of the box.
