Penny Adwords

I've been reading about how you can get Adwords clicks for simply a penny with enough ads and keywords. However, I have found that it doesn't quite work like that unless you advertise in other countries, which makes conversions real hard to come by.

I have as many keywords as it will let me (just under 50k) and made sure that every keyword had almost no competition in the keyword tool. I have my bid set at .20 and I still manage to only get about 200 impressions or so a day.

Am I doing something wrong, or is that just the best you can do in US/Canada?

Additional info-
I have it set to display network
I have all of the different sizes of ads
I have is set to accelerated delivery method.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    If you are finding clicks for a penny, then they are for very low traffic keyphrases that will have terrible conversions.

    I have had success converting on 6-10 cents per click, but paying 1 cent per click I can't imagine you would get many impressions at all as no one is searching for that phrase and that is why the price is so cheap, no competition for it.

      I'm having trouble converting even up to 15-20 cents. What kind of strategy are you using that allows you to convert at 6-10?

    You've been reading old material zmorris. Penny clicks on Adwords went the way of the dinosaur. Check out PPV if you're looking for cheap traffic.
