Question about Non Disclosure Agreements

If I wanted to send and NDA in an email to someone to sign. Can they do a digital signature to make it legitimate somehow? And if so what must be done?

    I've been asked to do that and simply signed directly onto the document with a pdf editor. The client found that acceptable.

    In related news-- I remember a story recently of the President (I mean the U.S. Prez) signing a bill digitally from overseas using that "Long Pen" doo-hickey. So if it's good enough for Congress...

    The short answer is yes, it can be done, but I'm hazy on specifics.

    I've signed numerous documents digitally. Mostly via
    the Adobe site. Since my lawyer was the first person to
    ask me to do that, I figured it must be binding.
